When a slight detour brings on new experiences

One morning I was headed from the airport and to a photoshop when I remembered ‘Röda sten’, red stone, a cultural sight with museum facades for graffiti. An ever changing place where the river meets the sea.  An interesting and capturing place. As I walked around there I was approached by a man who wondered if I would consider reading a paper he had written. That was the start of an interesting and mutually beneficial meeting.

    The text read

An artist, Vitaly Bohaievsky, came to Gothenburg by the invitation of his swedish friend to experience  life of Sweden. Vitaly’s choice was to go beyond of being a simple tourist for a few weeks in Sweden, but to make a creative statement to the people in Sweden on the issues that make Peace and bring Love to this world; the issues that are universal and are to positively benefit all people.

During the month of July an avant-garde painting was created in a temporary working art-studio in  Mölndal. It was exhibited for two days in the public area of Röda sten. The artist will also be making live a message to display against his painting emphasizing the stand-off currently taking place in Ukraine.

     Background

“Struggle and you will prevail, God is on Your side!”

This phrase by the Father of a Ukrainian nation Taras Shevchenko (1814 – 2014…) has recieved a vivid and strongly emphasized momentum during the Revolution of Dignity that took place in the winter of 2014 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

In November of 2013, after the government declined the opportunity to sign an Association Agreement with the European Union, Ukrainians took a peaceful protest to the center of Kyiv (naming it EuroMaidan) standing strong and united. After  months of stand-off we prevailed over the regime of then acting President Yanukovich by making him (along with other criminal comrades in his office) fleeing to Russia for refuge, a president that for years of his ruling has created a family structure of criminal subordination and corruption throughout all aspects of Ukrainian’s life.

Unfortunately the final stand-off in February took lives of more than hundred civilians which will be remembered in new Ukrainian history as ‘Heavenly Hundred”. Ukrainians fought back their right to become a free democratic nation and be part of a European family with its rights, freedoms and responsibilities.

However, a Russioan ruler (PUTIN – HUILO, folk name created by Ukrainian soccer fans) back-stabbed a nation with first annexing the Crimean peninsula from the world wide recognized sovereign borders of an independent Ukkraine and now supporting a Russian-led terrorism movement in the Eastern part of Ukraine. The events gave an enlightening impulse for the awakening of a great nation – UKRAINE. A nation that for centuries has always been standing strong in protection of Freedom of identification and a conscious choice of living a life of freedom, dignity and care for the Motherland – UKRAINE. And now striving to live in a larger European family by democratic principles – the fight continues for Freedom with a European battle ground being in Ukraine.
